I Got Pooped On

Nothing makes you ponder the chaos/order of life like being pooped on by a passing bird. If I'd left the house seconds later or earlier, the poop would've missed me. But no, I left the house when I did and I got pooped on. Does this happen to everyone at some point in their lives? It does, right? I mean, at least most people, right? It's so random, but it feels personal.

My Review of Superman: The Musical!

I have seen every single show Darrell's done at Encumclaw (or, really, every show since college, I think). Superman: The Musical! was not my favorite, but it did have the Best Performance by a Male Actor. The kid who played Superman (who had a funny name, but I don't remember it now) was fantastic! Just amazing.

One funny thing about the plot: The show was written in the 50s or 60s so it had a lot of anti-communist stuff in it, which got changed in Enumclaw's version to anti-Canadian stuff. It didn't make a whole lot of sense, but definitely added to the wackiness.

One reason you wish you'd been there: They had a raffle and gave away the telephone booth where Superman changes.

And one more thing: It got really hot in the theatre and I had to take my sweater off.

What are you?

A consumer or a producer?

Nell Painter is making me feel bad about my choices. I saw her on Bill Moyers, which I watch on my new iPod, which is bomb, but which makes me more of a consumer.

2007: Rear in Review

January: I don't remember anything that happened in January.

February: Yeah, I guess I was taking classes and working.

March: Spring Break 2007 NYC!!!! I saw Spring Awakening and then it was Spring for reals.

April: I have no memories of April 2007. It was my Grandma's birthday, but I don't remember what we did. I'm sure I was hanging out with LeeAnne a lot, too.

May: Um. I think this is when I got in a huge fight with Darrell and he stopped talking to me.

June: End of first year of Library School. Grin and I went to Spokane to see Nathan get deaconized. LeeAnne moved to China.

July: I turned 25. 25 and alive! For my birthday I ate pizza, Darrell started talking to me again, I went to a concert in the zoo with BJ, and I had drinks at Linda's with Kiera and Jeff. The final Harry Potter comes out and I cried bittersweet tears.

August: Amelia gets born. I convince Jeff to date me. Very exciting month.

September: I went to CA. I started my second year of L-school.

October: Halloween? Oh right, I went to my dad's and it was awkward.

November: Kiera moves to Florida, which is sad. On Thanksgiving I saw Beowulf in 3D and had dinner at my mom's.

December: I passed all my classes and got a scholarship I didn't even apply for. Nice. For Xmas I got an electric kettle, a deep fryer, books, and a framed picture of my little niece. I also just moved out of my room at the Spano's because they're moving to Switzerland. So I'm currently homeless, but it's not so bad. Tonight I'm going to Rich and Grin's for their NYE party.

Grade for 2007: A

Resolutions for 2008: 1) Bring reusable bags on shopping trips. 2) Graduate. 3) Get a real job.

Exciting possibilities for 2008: 1) Visiting Kiera in Florida. 2) Visiting the Spanos in Switzerland. 3) President Obama!!!!!!!!!1 4) Keeping my resolutions.
